Elite Fashion Academy LA’s Make-Up Artistry course is a program, separated into two different sessions, dedicated to accelerating the careers of make-up artists by learning the necessary skills and techniques to work within the industry. Taught by our team of professional instructors, the Makeup Artist Academy not only teaches makeup application but also the marketing and business skills required to work as a professional makeup artist.

The course takes place in a fully equipped classroom, beginning with the study of skin preparation, different skin tones and shapes, and culminating in correct makeup techniques used in the fashion industry in print and on runways as well as in television and film. The importance of cleanliness, professionalism, and set etiquette is emphasized throughout the course as well as approaches for corrective makeup, contouring, and techniques for HD filming. Students will also learn a range of styles from bridal to red carpet, as well as learning airbrush make-up.

In addition, students learn how to bring together a portfolio effectively and experience working with models as part of a production team. Individuals are also able to accelerate their career by working with Elite Fashion Academy LA’s photography and fashion styling students, giving them resources to build their portfolio and connections whilst getting an education.

We break the program into two sessions for those who are unable to attend the complete 4-session workshop. At a later date they can pick up where they left off and come back to complete their class course when their schedule permits. We recommend completing both sessions together. Session A includes two 8 hour sessions, Session B includes two 8 hour sessions, the complete program is 32 hours of instruction.
