Elite Fashion Academy LA’s Make-up Artist course is a one-month program seperated into two different sessions dedicated to accelerating the careers of make-up artists by learning the necessary skills and techniques to work within the industry. Taught by our team of professional instructors, the Makeup Artist Academy not only teaches makeup application but also the marketing and business skills required to work as a professional makeup artist.
The course takes place in a fully equipped classroom, beginning with the study of skin preparation, different skin tones and shapes, and culminating in correct makeup techniques used in the fashion industry in print and on runways as well as in television and film. The importance of cleanliness, professionalism, and set etiquette is emphasized throughout the course as well as approaches for corrective makeup and techniques for HD filming.
In addition, students learn how to bring together a portfolio effectively and experience working with models as part of a production team. Individuals are also able to accelerate their career by working with Elite Fashion Academy LA’s photography and fashion styling students, giving them resources to build their portfolio and connections whilst getting an education:
The cost for this complete one-month program is $975 per session with a total of two sessions. Each session includes 16 hours of tuition. Photo shoot is additional cost of $750. It’s optional for students to include a photo-shoot with the completion of both sessions A&B. The make-up kit (not required) is an additional $950 to purchase.
