An eclectic mix of Japanese, Spanish and Irish heritage, Renee grew up between Southern California and Hokkaido, Japan, in a family with four brothers, and was a tomboy until she began modeling at the age of seventeen.
She then burst onto the international fashion scene, beginning her career on the runways of Paris for designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace and Alexander McQueen, going on to be featured in publications including Italian Vogue and print advertisements for brands including Nike.
Not content with being just a pretty face, Renee then began to explore her entrepreneurial side, launching the fashion label Street Saint with a store on LA’s trendy Melrose Avenue and successfully licensing the brand internationally.
This led to an introduction to the Elite Fashion Academy, and Renee identifying the need for the school’s curriculum in the entertainment capital of Los Angeles.
“As CEO of Elite Fashion Academy LA, I’m thrilled to have a way to teach people the practical tools they need to develop as artists, and thrive in this competitive industry,” says Esebag. “Recognizing that your talent is a unique brand is the first step on the path to a successful career.”
